Disclosure

This policy is valid from 17 January 2012

This blog is a personal blog written and edited by me. For questions about this blog, please contact  barrylk AT gmail Dot com.

This blog does not accept any form of cash advertising, sponsorship, or paid topic insertions. However, I will and do accept and keep free products, services, travel, event tickets, and other forms of compensation from companies and organizations.

In the future I may engage in affiliate accounts.  If and when that happens any affiliate link will be followed by the characters (aff).  All affiliate links will be to products or services that I have used and enjoy.  Links to affiliate programs provide you the same price they would if you went independently, but they would provide me a small percentage of that standard purchase price.  This may be one source of income for me while I am in school, so your help is appreciated.

I do not have any relationship with Family Tree Maker, my genealogy program of choice.  I have been using FTM since approximately 1990, love the recent upgrades and highly recommend it.  I have never been compensated by Family Tree Maker/Ancestry.com or asked to write anything favorable. I also use Legacy Family Tree for certain functions.  My opinions are my own as a user, written for your information.

The compensation received will never influence the content, topics or posts made in this blog. All advertising is in the form of advertisements generated by a third party ad network. Those advertisements will be identified as paid advertisements.

The owner of this blog is not compensated to provide opinion on products, services, websites and various other topics. The views and opinions expressed on this blog are purely the blog owner's. If I claim or appear to be an expert on a certain topic or product or service area, I will only endorse products or services that I believe, based on my expertise, are worthy of such endorsement. Any product claim, statistic, quote or other representation about a product or service should be verified with the manufacturer or provider.

This blog does not contain any content which might present a conflict of interest.
